What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Relation Representative position at Connect?

As a new member of our team, you will play a vital role in learning the ins and outs of our nonprofit partners, including running community and retail-based events and outreach campaigns, overcoming negatives, interacting with large volumes of customers in a fast-paced environment, and continually challenging yourself to grow. Your goal is to Educate, Advocate, and Disseminate information about our partners and, in doing so, raise funds for their cause. This role requires strategic thinkers with excellent communication skills and a passion for building relationships with their community and with people. Duties:

  • Educate the public about our nonprofit partners, their mission, and why it's worthy of their support
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing information, and helping as needed.
  • Establish and manage your daily events, ensuring completion of tasks, set up, venue logistics, scripts, etc.
  • Manage on-site logistics to ensure a smooth and efficient event flow
  • Contribute to meeting fundraising targets to support charitable endeavors
  • Advocate for the nonprofit and its cause
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner to create a positive brand experience
  • Collaborate with a team of similarly driven and ambitious people
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on event details and objectives
  • Maintain the integrity and confidence of all donors in the charity, our professional fundraising organization, and you
  • Possess a positive mental framework
  • Ensure all equipment, signage, and supplies are organized and readily available

Qualifications:

As this is an entry level role we are not expecting you to come in with an intensive background, but we are looking for individuals who are able to commit to learning new skills and remaining open-minded while receiving new information. Additionally, The ideal candidate will have a passion for advocacy and want to impact important social issues.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to relate with a variety of personalities and backgrounds
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality with a passion for customer support
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in customer service, sales, or event coordination is a plus but not required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as event schedules dictate
  • Independent drive for personal and professional development, career progression, industry networking, and leadership opportunities.
  • Basic math skills for processing donations and tracking contributions
  • Job may require commuting to events

Job Type:

  • Full-time, 8 hours per day, Day shift, Monday through Friday, with weekend availability

Compensation:

  • All promotions include an increase in pay percentage
  • We only hire from within our company for our management roles
  • Bonus opportunities
  • Performance based bonuses
  • From $500.00 per week, with uncapped commission.
  • Paid training
