Assistive Technology Program Administrator
Job Title: Assistive Technology Program Administrator
Classification: Full time
Reports To: Senior Manager- Community Engagement | Executive Director
Pay rate: $20 Hourly
Summary: This person will be administering the Assistive Technology Lab in our Watie Park Location. This includes but is not limited to- Researching items, working with the Community Engagement team to purchase devices, and educating members of the community on Assistive Technology items to enrich their lives.
Responsibilities:
Assistive Technology Lab
- Maintain inventory tagging/tracking system
- Administer Lending Library process, forms, tracking, labeling
- Work with Community Engagement team to purchase items for Assistive Technology Lab
- Assisting visitors in Assistive Technology lab
- Scheduling visitors in Assistive Technology lab
- Assisting with set up and installation of Assistive Technology items in lab
- Administers and maintain grant requirements as assigned for funding
- Promote the Assistive Technology lab in the community
Outside Organizations and Networking:
- Attend STAR meetings
- Attend MN NEAT meetings
- Attend Expos
- Providing education both in and outside of the organization (Via pop-ups and spotlighting equipment for team and community)
- Schedule and conduct Assistive Technology Lab Pop-Ups with other organizations/businesses
Preferred Skills:
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Self-Starter Mentality
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills
- Ability to speak eloquently in front of community members
- Basic understanding of Assistive Technology and the drive to learn more
- Ability to Promote Adaptive Toys/Switches to community members
Other Duties:
- Assistive Technology research and education
- Attend weekly Community Engagement Team meetings
- Work with the Community Engagement Team to ensure grant and purchasing requirements met
