Job Description:
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Connected Care Services, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities or special needs in achieving their goals and enhancing their quality of life. You will provide direct care, assistance with daily living activities, and emotional support in a compassionate and respectful manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Home Organization & Routine: Assist in structuring daily activities, maintaining a clean space, and developing time management skills.
- Academic Support: Help with homework, study habits, and organization of school materials.
- Community Engagement: Plan and facilitate outings, encourage social interaction, and promote participation in hobbies.
- Transportation & Safety: Provide or arrange transportation and ensure safety during outings.
- Behavioral & Emotional Support: Reinforce positive behaviors, coping skills, and self-advocacy.
- Communication & Collaboration: Work with family and support teams to align on goals and progress.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving, direct support, or related field preferred
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to make a positive impact
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Pay Frequency:
· Bi weekly
Salary:
$20 hourly
