Job Title: Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Neurology Unit – Hobbs, NM

Job Description: Connected Health Care is currently partnering with a reputable hospital near Hobbs, NM, to find a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Neurology Unit. This position is an excellent opportunity for both experienced professionals and new graduates. Experience in Neurology is not required, as comprehensive training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and eager to work in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physical exams.
• Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to diagnose and treat patients in the Neurology unit.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide patient education and counseling to help manage neurological conditions.
• Administer treatments, medications, and procedures as appropriate.
• Monitor and manage ongoing care for patients with neurological disorders.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and care plans.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in Neurology.
  
  

Education & Certification Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Valid state licensure (NM) to practice as an NP or PA.
• Previous experience in Neurology is not required—new grads welcome.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (or obtained shortly after employment).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Detail-oriented, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to care.
