Job Description:
- Lead the nursing department in providing high-quality care across Critical Care, Med-Surg, and Emergency Department units.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures to align with hospital standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, hospital administration, and other healthcare professionals to improve patient care outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Monitor the performance of the nursing team, providing guidance and support to improve care delivery and team performance.
- Manage the budget and resource allocation for the nursing department to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and lead employee health initiatives to maintain staff well-being.
- Foster a collaborative work environment to improve patient care and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Jump into patient care as needed to support the team during high-acuity situations.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, including trauma registry management, to maintain high standards in patient care.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) required.
- CNO experience required, with at least 5 years as an RN in a Critical Care, Med-Surg, or ED setting.
- Infection Control and Employee Health experience preferred.
- Trauma Registrar experience preferred.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Critical Access Hospital experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills required.
- 5 years as an RN in Critical Care, Med-Surg, and Emergency Department settings.
- CNO experience with proven success in managing nursing teams and hospital operations.
- Strong management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead effectively and adapt to evolving healthcare needs.
- Local connections and familiarity with the community are a plus.
- Ability to foster a highly organized, efficient, and effective nursing environment.
