This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care to patients in their homes while enjoying a work-life balance with daytime hours and weekends off.
Job Description:
- Provide home health care to patients, including assessing patient needs, monitoring progress, and adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Administer medications, injections, IVs, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Perform wound care, health assessments, and assist with daily activities and physical therapies.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions and provide education on managing chronic conditions, medication use, and lifestyle changes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all assessments, treatments, and care plans using the EMR system.
- Weekend visits may be required on occasion to meet patient needs, though the majority of work is during daytime hours Monday through Friday.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients while following safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Active Nebraska RN License required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Home Health experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Previous nursing experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably with Home Health.
- Experience in wound care, IV therapy, and medication administration.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of patients in a home setting.
- Excellent communication skills for working with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- $7,000 hire-on bonus for full-time registered nurses who join the team.
