Job Description:
- Provide specialized care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on neuro cases
- Monitor and assess patients’ neurological status, vital signs, and response to treatments
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and complex therapies as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Operate and maintain monitoring equipment and respond to emergencies
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCU nursing with neuro experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
