Job Description:
As a Local Travel Urology Clinic RN you will be an integral part of a specialized urology team, assisting with a variety of procedures and providing direct care to patients with urological conditions. You will be responsible for a range of duties, including catheter insertion/removal, leg bag changes, suprapubic tube management, and assisting urologists during procedures.
- Perform catheter insertion and removal for patients as needed.
- Change leg bags and educate patients on proper care and maintenance.
- Assist with the insertion and removal of suprapubic tubes.
- Assist providers during urology procedures, ensuring patients are comfortable and informed.
- Monitor patients during pre- and post-procedure care, providing updates to physicians as necessary.
- Provide patient education on urological conditions, treatment options, and home care instructions.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation in the clinic’s EHR system.
- Administer prescribed medications and provide necessary patient care instructions.
- Ensure that the clinic is properly stocked with necessary medical supplies and that all equipment is functional.
- Foster a compassionate and professional environment, addressing patient concerns and providing excellent customer service.
- Valid RN license in the state of North Dakota.
- At least 1 year of urology nursing experience or equivalent experience in a clinical setting.
- Comfortable with catheter insertion/removal, leg bag changes, and managing suprapubic tubes.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide patient education effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience in a urology clinic or outpatient care setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize patient care effectively.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Weekly compensation up to $3,000 based on experience.
- Housing available, plus housing stipend, travel reimbursement, and other benefits available.
