We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Chiropractic Billing Specialist/Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic chiropractic team. This individual will be responsible for managing billing processes and daily front desk operations. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, an understanding of insurance claims, and excellent customer service abilities to ensure smooth office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing Specialist Duties:
- Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims to various insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before services are rendered.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, working with insurance providers to resolve issues.
- Process payments and assist patients with billing inquiries, including setting up payment plans if necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and account balances in the system.
Front Desk Receptionist Duties:
- Greet patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient scheduling using office software.
- Collect patient information, including personal details and insurance information.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out, ensuring proper documentation is completed.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Provide patients with information about office policies, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Manage patient flow and ensure timely service delivery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in medical office billing, front desk, or customer service roles, preferably in a chiropractic or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, coding, and claim submission processes.
- Proficiency in office software, including scheduling and billing software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with chiropractic billing software (e.g., ChiroTouch, Jane, or similar).
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical office regulations.
