We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with around 3–10 years of experience in Product Design or R&D. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing electronics packaging, preferably for RF / MW products, with expertise in mechanical analysis, simulation, and manufacturing processes.
This is a full time opportunity that will be fully onsite in the Waltham, MA area. Possibility of 1 day remote after initial period.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for outdoor equipment and electronics enclosures.
- Utilize SolidWorks for 3D modeling, design, and drafting.
- Apply CFD, Thermal Simulation, and FEA to optimize product performance.
- Drive project-level ideation and technical development from concept to production.
- Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to manage component sourcing and manufacturing.
- Work with FIP gaskets, EMI shielding, RF connectors and cabling, radomes, and metal castings to meet product requirements.
- Engage in hands-on machining, 3D printing, and assembly to prototype and refine designs.
- Conduct testing and data acquisition to validate product performance.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
