What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Electrical Engineer position at Connected Systems Partners?
Our client, located south of Boston, in the Greater Canton, MA area is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer skilled in schematic capture tools such as Orcad, Mentor Graphics or Altium. The role involves designing boards and backplanes, handling power distribution, sourcing components, and maintaining part libraries.
*** This is a Hybrid position***
Must be a US Citizen or US Perm Resident
Responsibilities:
- Review board layouts thoroughly, assessing work completed by contract manufacturers and layout firms to ensure design integrity and adherence to specifications.
- Design wiring diagrams to show how internal connectors and external interface components are integrated within specialized embedded hardware systems.
- Prepare parts lists and the required technical files for the production process.
- Conduct product validation activities, compiling relevant test records and engineering documentation.
- Provide technical support during the assembly of PCBs, interconnect modules, and system-level builds when necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) preferred.
- Extensive experience in PCB design, layout, and manufacturing.
- Strong background in high-speed board design.
- Expertise in addressing EMI and ESD challenges during the design process.
- Proficiency in both digital and analog circuit design.
- Comfortable working directly with customers to resolve technical issues in the field.
- Ability to contribute to system-level engineering discussions and architectural planning.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
