The Delivery Specialist is an essential part of our Production Operations Team & we are seeking someone who can hit the ground running within this role! CAFD's ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience in delivery & transportation, a passion for learning the trade, building relationships with customers & team members, and completing the delivery of our products safely & on time.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Deliver an exceptional Customer Experience, accommodating customer requests both on-site and in collaboration with the Production Management Team, to successfully execute in-home delivery and installation projects.
- Review & report results of delivery operations from the previous day to the Production Manager.
- Transport staged appliances to the delivery vehicle, ensuring that the delivery vehicle is inspected for safety and serviceability, loaded products agree with delivery schedule, and driving directions are clear and understood prior to departure from the warehouse loading dock.
- Perform & supervise unpacking, transportation, & placement of appliances. Must use company-appointed safety gear to transport products, consistently following protocol.
- Consistently perform operator maintenance on the company vehicle provided for appliance delivery. Record hub and speedometer readings on the first day of each workweek.
- Maintain a commitment to operating the appliance delivery vehicle safely and adhering to DOT regulations & standards while driving between scheduled locations. Use company-provided communication device(s) to resolve questions and to notify management of unexpected difficulties encountered in daily operations.
- Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors and managers.
- Heavy lifting ability required, job involves lifting/transporting items up to or exceeding 100 lbs. with safety equipment and team member.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 1-2 years' experience with transportation & delivery services.
- Excellent attendance is essential.
- Travel is mandatory and will vary dependent on business needs.
- Active & valid driver's license. Good driving record with no traffic violations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely handle large modules and operate safety equipment, demonstrating awareness & agility to ensure secure transport and safe placement of products, apparatus, & materials in designated locations.
- Requires the stamina to sit or stand for 10 hours per day and requires consistent hand eye coordination and excellent hand dexterity.
- Must be able to bend, lift and stoop continuously, lifting up to or exceeding 100 pounds with a team member & the support of safety gear, climbing, & dexterity while maneuvering products in warehouse, residential, and commercial property locations.
- Must be age 21 per state regulations & pass a DOT Physical examination.
Experience:
- Heavy lifting: 1 year (Preferred)
- Commercial Box Truck operation: 1 year (Required)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Occasional Saturday work & overtime may be required.

Salary: $22.00 per hour - Commensurate with experience
