Description
The Connecticut Age Well Collaborative, an initiative of Connecticut Community Care, is a statewide, cross-sector initiative that fosters aging, dementia and disability-inclusive communities. The Associate Director will develop strategy and provide leadership in program management, data and evaluation, impact assessment, grant management, partner and community engagement, and oversee experiential learning and educational tool development. The Associate Director will also recruit, onboard and supervise all consultants related to community engagement, research and evaluation activities, as well as provide overall support to the Director.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee data strategic planning and evaluation process, including impact assessment.
· Oversee partner engagement strategy development and implementation.
· Oversee community engagement strategy development and implementation, including supervising community engagement consultants.
· Oversee experiential learning and other educational tool development and implementation.
· Oversee drafting of grant application narratives and grant narrative reporting.
· Provide expertise in disrupting ageism and ableism, as well as provide general diversity, equity and inclusion expertise to advance social justice across other intersectional identities, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, economic class, gender and gender identity and sexual orientation.
· Provide programmatic leadership on initiatives including but not limited to Daring Dialogues, the Community Leadership and Age Well Across CT.
· Support strategic external promotion, including developing conference proposals, delivering presentations and contributing to overall communications planning.
· Support professional development for Connecticut Age Well Collaborative team.
· Provide general support and thought partnership to all activities of the Director.
Requirements
Education:?
· Bachelor’s degree or graduate-level work in social justice, equity, community organizing, public health, public policy or a closely related field required.?
Experience:?
· Minimum of five years of experience with a community-based nonprofit, local or state government agency, collective impact or coalition organization.?
· Experience in strategic planning, and project management.
· Experience in grants management, writing and reporting.
· Experience conducting trainings and facilitating conversations related to equity, inclusion and belonging, with a comfort in lovingly supporting being uncomfortable.
· Knowledge of research and evaluation methods; strong skills in data collection/analysis.
· Familiarity with Connecticut and Connecticut municipalities.
· Familiarity with aging, disability and/or dementia networks.
