At Noteworthy AI, our mission is to improve the reliability, resiliency, and safety of the electric grid. Our vehicle-mounted cameras and AI help utilities and other grid operators increase their situational awareness of their assets while reducing costs. Our platform autonomously geolocates, photographs, and analyzes grid infrastructure as vehicles drive during routine operations, enabling more proactive grid management.

We currently operate on a hybrid schedule based in our New Haven, CT office, facilitating in-person collaboration among team members.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage customer environment deployments: Execute multi-step deployment workflows in AWS, including VPC setup, VPN access configuration, SSL/TLS certificate management, load balancer and DNS configuration, and service initialization
- Automate and scale infrastructure setup: Maintain and improve infrastructure automation scripts and tooling to simplify the deployment of backend services and cloud resources as we take on more customer projects
- Own internal and customer-facing AWS environments: Manage and maintain dev, staging, and production environments, ensuring engineers have the necessary access and resources
- Support data and ML workflows: Collaborate with ML and Edge engineering teams to maintain and update cloud-based processing pipelines as algorithms evolve
- Coordinate application version rollouts: Deploy and manage versions of the React frontend and backend services across multiple environments
- Contribute to security and compliance efforts: Own our SOC 2 readiness process from the ground up—including planning, implementing controls, documenting policies, and coordinating audits
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with ML, Edge, and software engineers to align deployment processes with development workflows
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (IAM, VPC, Lambda, Step Functions, ACM, ECS/Fargate, Route 53, S3, etc.)
- Proficiency in scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Experience with infrastructure automation and deployment tools (could include homegrown scripts, or tools like Terraform, Pulumi, etc.)
- Familiarity with networking and cloud security best practices (e.g., VPNs, SSL certificates, load balancer security rules)
- Experience managing full-stack deployments (frontend backend) across multiple environments
- Experience with compliance frameworks, such as SOC 2
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
