Lab Inventory Control Manager | Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Lab Inventory Control Manager to support our Emergency Science Team at Revalia Bio. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of handling the dynamic nature of an early-stage biotech startup while maintaining consistency and accountability. This role requires a self-motivated individual who is a quick learner who can solve problems independently. The successful candidate must be solutions-oriented, comfortable with pushing back when needed, and focused on processes and templates to manage change effectively.
Job Summary : Responsible for building and installing a lab inventory management process and system, including technology, to enable our business to scale. This includes ordering all medical supplies and lab equipment, maintaining an appropriate inventory of all medical supplies, receiving and stocking of all medical supplies to their assigned area, and maintenance of lab equipment.
Responsibilities :
- Helps establish lab operations policies and procedures.
- Orders and maintains all medical inventory and lab equipment.
- Performs Quarterly Inventory accounting.
- When supplies arrive at our lab, checks in all supplies per invoice and purchase order, delivers all supplies to appropriate team, accounts for all back orders, and prepares required paperwork.
- Follows standards, policies, procedures, goals and objectives according to accepted standards.
- Researches and obtains pricing / quotes for Medical equipment / supplies and products utilized in the facility. Maintains files and is familiar with all USPI procurement requirements necessary to acquire, inventory and dispose of medical equipment, supplies, or products for the facility.
- Facilitates / expedites the receipt of damaged / broken medical equipment and coordinates / facilitates prompt repair / replacement for use in facility operations.
- Responsible for Hazardous Materials / Hazardous Communication inventory and logs. Follows OSHA and other standards.
- Responsible for the Medical Equipment Program : acquisition, maintenance, inventory and disposal.
- Makes sure invoices are submitted to BOM within a timely manner, especially at month end when accruals are needed.
- Performs other duties as may be appropriately required or assigned.
