This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in immigration law, human rights, and social justice. Interns will gain hands-on experience working with attorneys and legal staff, assisting clients navigating the U.S. immigration system.

The Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants (CIRI) is seeking dedicated and motivated interns to support our Immigration Legal Team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys and legal staff with case preparation, research, and document drafting.
- Conduct intake interviews with clients and assist in gathering necessary documentation.
- Support clients in completing immigration applications and forms.
- Maintain accurate client records and case files.
- Observe legal consultations and attend relevant hearings or community outreach events.
- Assist with translation and interpretation (if fluent in Spanish, though not required).
- Perform administrative tasks as needed to support legal team operations.
- Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, with an interest in immigration law, social justice, or related fields.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

- Unpaid internship (academic credit may be available depending on your institution's requirements).
- Flexible schedule based on availability, with a preference for at least 10'15 hours per week.
