Connecticut Orthopaedics is seeking an experienced APRN to provide medical services to our orthopaedic patient population within the Trumbull area.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain complete medical history & physical data for patients
- Determine appropriate diagnostic procedures as needed
- Perform complete physical exams & record results in EMR
- Educate patient and families regarding medications, health, and illness protection.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
- Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2-4 years clinical experience required
- 5 years’ experience preferred
- Orthopaedic experience required, total joints preferred
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office and experience with electronic medical record systems
- Able to trouble shoot, strong sense of decision making and judgment; action oriented; approachable
- Team player and effective at building and fostering teamwork as well as maintain composure when dealing with conflict, thoughtful of others, courteous
