Job Title: Birthday Party Crew Member
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Reports to: Director of Visitor Experience
Wage Range: $17.50 per hour

Serving more than 300,000 adults and children each year, the Connecticut Science Center is the state’s premier destination for informal science learning, a top tourist attraction, a hub for teacher training, and one of the state’s foremost resources for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). This creative, enthusiastic and dynamic On-Call Birthday Party Crew Member will make birthday events a positive, meaningful, and memorable experience for all party guests.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate parties with multiple internal departments and catering partners to successfully execute every birthday party
· Set up and breakdown of birthday party rooms, managing the time schedule from arrival to departure.
· Greet and welcome birthday groups and manage the total count per event. Provide hospitality and itinerary management services to each group to set the right tone for a great party.
· Ability to facilitate live science program with confidence and skill.
· Oversee the party itinerary for multiple parties each weekend day.
· Manage a group of 20 or more children and adults in an engaging manner and ensure that their itinerary is met.
· Organize and maintain party activity materials and track inventory
· Administrative duties related to the program as necessary.
· Additional duties as assigned.
Salary : $18
