Rodeo Cannabis Co. is looking for a highly skilled Cannabis Butane Extraction Assistant to join our growing team. If you have a deep understanding of butane extraction processes and a passion for producing high-quality cannabis concentrates, we want to hear from you!

The Butane Extraction Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the extraction and refinement of cannabis concentrates using hydrocarbon-based extraction methods. This position requires a keen understanding of extraction equipment, safety protocols, compliance standards, and post-processing techniques.

• Extraction Process Support: Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of butane extraction equipment to produce premium cannabis extracts.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all OSHA, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous material handling, extraction processes, and workplace safety.
• Quality Control: Monitor extraction processes to ensure consistency, potency, and purity of concentrates. Perform necessary adjustments to optimize yields.
• Lab Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned, calibrated, and functioning.
• Inventory & Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of extractions, yields, solvents, and material inputs per regulatory requirements.
• Post-Processing Assistance: Support winterization, filtration, solvent recovery, and purging techniques to refine extracts into high-quality end products.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with extraction leads, compliance officers, and production staff to meet production goals and quality standards.

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in butane extraction within a licensed cannabis facility.
• Extensive knowledge of hydrocarbon extraction processes, post-processing techniques, and solvent recovery.
• Familiarity with compliance regulations, including METRC tracking, state cannabis laws, and hazardous material handling.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting closed-loop extraction systems.
• Strong understanding of lab safety protocols, including PPE requirements and emergency procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot extraction-related issues.
• Passion for cannabis science and innovation in extraction technology.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in extraction or chemistry are a plus.
