Position Summary:

Student Activities Assistant serves as coordinator to campus activities on and off campus. The EA – Student Activities’ main function is to assist the Director of Student Activities in approving club functions and executing SPO events.

Example of Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Director of Student Activities, the Student Activities Assistant is responsible for effective performance in these essential duties:

  • Serve as coordinator to campus activities on and off campus
  • Manage club and event platform Anthology Engage
  • Supervise student workers
  • Collaborate cross departmentally with students, faculty, staff, and administration in the creation and execution of events
  • Oversee department social media accounts
  • Create, plan, execute, and evaluate a blend of recreational programming based on student interest and campus needs
  • Review and approve club requests, including but not limited to event requests and purchase requests
  • Train student clubs governed by Student Government on departmental procedures and the proper club processes
  • Evaluate and analyze post-event data

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in a related field.

Incumbents are required to have demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the following:

  • Relevant Student Activities experience

Candidates must possess proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students. They are expected to have excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skillsalong with strongInformation technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.).

Salary:

$34.06 hourly.
