Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our procurement team. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and services essential for production. This role requires strong analytical skills, supplier relationship management, and a keen understanding of the automotive industry supply chain.
Key Responsibilities :
- Source and procure raw materials, components, and indirect goods in alignment with company requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of quality materials.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to optimize costs and mitigate risks.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with operational needs.
- Manage supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
- Work closely with the logistics team to optimize inventory levels and minimize supply chain disruptions.
- Support new product launches by identifying and qualifying suppliers for new components.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience with ERP / MRP systems and procurement software.
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- APICS or CPM certification is a plus.
