Overview
Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Database Administrator in North Haven, CT. This is a hybrid model, requiring onsite 4 days a week. This is a contract to hire opportunity with a potential of full time, offering great benefits.
We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Data Warehouse & Reporting Analyst to manage, enhance, and support our enterprise reporting environment. This role focuses on designing and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality and availability, and developing insightful reports to drive business decisions. You'll collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions while ensuring the security, accuracy, and integrity of the data ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using tools like SSIS to support data warehousing and reporting needs.
- Analyze business reporting requirements and architect data models to support ongoing and future reporting demands.
- Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and complex joins to extract, transform, and present meaningful data insights.
- Develop, modify, and deliver dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools and platforms (e.g., CRMBI, Power BI).
- Ensure database reliability through proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and implementation of backup/recovery strategies.
- Maintain detailed documentation for data mappings, database schema, ETL processes, and security practices.
- Implement and manage database security protocols to protect sensitive business information.
- Serve as a resource for cross-functional training and provide backup support for other IT team functions.
- Deliver projects within agreed timelines and standards.
- Maintain high data integrity and system availability across the reporting environment.
- Proactively identify and resolve data quality or performance issues.
- Support disaster recovery testing and ensure alignment with organizational recovery metrics.
- Ensure readiness and compliance for audits and implement remediation as needed.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent work experience accepted.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a similar role focused on data integration, reporting, and analytics.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database design (normalization, indexing, optimization).
- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SSIS.
- Skilled in data modeling, ETL development, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with reporting tools and creating visual dashboards.
- Understanding of data security, privacy compliance, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Knowledge of financial systems or reporting in a financial services environment is a plus.
