Responsibilities : Job Summary :
Working under minimal supervision, referring only exceptional problems and issues to management for review or approval, the Senior Proposal Manager serves as team lead for the RFP Team, coordinates and writes proposals as responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) under strict deadlines, and often with minimal lead-time. The Sr. Proposal Manager creates additional documents, including RFI's, pricing proposals, and ad hoc documents for external and internal clients. The Sr. Proposal Manager interacts with all required workstreams (e.g., Sales, Services, Finance, Legal, and Marketing), facilitating communication and documentation required for the proposal. Addresses specific needs / requirements, ensuring quality and consistency in the document and identifying potential issues within the RFP terms and conditions. Assists manager with daily supervision and mentoring of the RFP and Forms teams.
Primarily oversee the creation, organization, and management of proposal content. The Sr. Proposal Manager collaborates with various departments to gather relevant information and ensure that proposals are comprehensive, accurate, and tailored to meet client requirements. Their responsibilities include writing and editing proposal content, maintaining a library of reusable content, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications, and managing timelines to meet submission deadlines. By maintaining high-quality and compelling proposals, they significantly contribute to the company's success in securing new business opportunities.
Job Duties :
- Assists manager with daily supervision and mentoring of the RFP and Forms teams.
- Answers daily operational questions for the team.
- Schedules screen sharing sessions when needed.
- Schedules group trainings for commonly needed topics.
- Onboards new team members by mentoring and answering questions, providing available resources, and scheduling training for applicable areas.
- Leads complex deals (e.g., global, multiple services)
- Manages, coordinates, and leads RFP projects from initial receipt through RFP delivery.
- Leads the development, compilation, and detailed requests for proposals (RFPs) content that pertains to company information, organizational information, product-specific data, portal information, and other specific content requested by the client.
- Ensures the response flows and positions Connection favorably.
- May support small to mid-sized deals if required.
- Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the RFP database.
- Follows up on all wins and losses to ensure learnings are captured in the metrics and reported in the results.
- Maintains files and logs of completed consultant and pending questionnaires.
- Provides data and publishes RFP metrics.
- Works closely with team colleagues to suggest and implement content improvements and oversees their implementation as necessary.
- Processes client and supplier forms.
- Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.
