Role:
The Supervisor will lead the Mobile Banking Unit team, focusing on strategic outreach and business development in smaller communities. This leadership role involves managing operations, mentoring team members, and driving initiatives that align with CCU's mission of connecting communities to modern financial services. This position provides mobile financial services, prioritizing outreach to underserved communities. The role requires proactive engagement with community leaders and members to understand their needs and foster trust in CCU's mission. It includes business development activities aimed at growing membership and delivering tailored financial education and services. This role involves traveling to rural communities aboard a mobile branch (RV-style bus) to provide critical banking services, including teller transactions and consumer lending. The ideal candidate will be a skilled multitasker with exceptional customer service skills, the ability to speak fluent Spanish, and the flexibility to work non-traditional hours. Maintains branch cash and supplies Assists members with financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. Responsible for delivery of superior quality member service while adhering to regulations and policies. Home location will be located in Pocatello, ID.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor the mobile unit team. Oversee initial training periods, ensuring alignment with CCU’s mission and values, and fostering a strong service culture. Actively partners and collaborates with Branch Supervisors to develop branch outreach initiatives based on branch neighborhood and branch consumer base.
Identify opportunities for growth and establish partnerships with local organizations and community leaders. Lead efforts to deliver impactful financial services and education programs tailored to community needs. Collaborate with the Mobile Unit Team to develop strategies for growing membership within target markets. Identify and pursue opportunities to offer CCU’s services to community organizations, businesses, and individuals.
Develop and implement strategies to penetrate underserved markets. Work closely with community leaders, businesses, and organizations to identify needs and establish CCU as a trusted financial partner. Actively engage with underserved communities to understand their financial needs and promote CCU’s products and services. Represent CCU at local events, build relationships with community leaders, and identify partnership opportunities to enhance CCU’s presence.
Assist Mobile Unit Team with all aspects of teller transactions, loan processing, and digital banking assistance, ensuring services are accessible and meet member needs.
Ensure the mobile unit operates smoothly and efficiently. Develop and monitor schedules that balance operational needs with flexible team working hours.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bilingual- Spanish REQUIRED
- Five or more years of familiar or related experience
- 1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. 3 years or more of similar or related experience required
- Credit union and/or community bank experience preferred
- Business Development experience
- Loan Processing experience
- Comfortable making clear and concise oral and written presentations to a variety of audiences
- Self-Motivated with strong organizational/time management and project management skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills required. High emotional intelligence and the art of persuasion are assets for this role.
- Maintain current credit union/financial services knowledge, industry trends, and sales/presentation best practices.
- Think creatively, speak tactfully, work independently, and accept responsibility.
Other Skills:
Ability to attend local and non-local conferences. Proficient in using and learning sales tracking and reporting software. Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems efficiently. Ability to see opportunities to cross sell products and services. Fluent in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing) is required. Proficiency in operating basic financial software and office equipment remotely. Ability to learn and apply loan underwriting guidelines and credit union products/services. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Comfortable driving and operating an RV-style vehicle; previous experience preferred but not required. Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including longer days, shorter weeks, and occasional weekends.

Schedule: 8:30 AM-5:30 PM/Monday-Friday (occassional weekends)
Pay: 50k -73k Annual Salary - DOE
