Infusion Nurse opening with a growing established Cancer practice in Northern, VA near DC. Candidates MUST have infusion experience to be considered.
Candidate requirements:
- Associates Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
- 3 years of nursing experience
- MUST have infusion experience
- Prefer some Oncology/chemo nursing exp.
- OCN preferred or willing to obtain
- Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer is preferred
- Virginia RN license (compact state)
- Current CPR certification required
Your day:
- Assess and monitors therapy of patients using appropriate technical skills under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Assists physician with exams and procedures.
- Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central venous access devices and alternate delivering systems.
- Triage patient/family phone calls as needed
- Patient and family education as needed.
