Connections Personnel located in Scotch Plains has a direct hire position for a Production Assistant in Somerset for a company that makes food products and stores products in the facility.
Hours are 8pm to 5am Sunday thru Thursday with 1 hour lunch. Some overtime is required.
Job Description:
Help Production manager to achieve corporate and department objectives. Monitoring Production Line operation, ensure line operators follow all require procedures, report to Supervisor the daily production activity, forward the information to Logistic department in case production schedule was not completed on shift. Help train new employees.
Principal Tasks: (not limited to and subject to change)
• Patrol production lines and GMP area.
• Report any abnormal situations to supervisor.
• Report line stop and loss information to teams message.
• Contact Maintenance department when machine issue.
• Contact QC department when production stop over 45 Min.
• Fully understand company policies, Production SOP and SSOP.
• Report to supervisor when line operators are not following rules and procedures.
• Reviewing daily production record document. Report to supervisor if found any abnormal data.
• Ensure daily production schedule completion. Report to supervisor if schedule has not been completed.
• Receive new line workers and set up the training video and document the training record.
• Maintain safe and clean workplace.
Required Skill:
• High School Diploma.
• Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point.
• Strong Communication Skill and Reliability.
• Knowledge of the applicable processes and related equipment.
Physical Requirements:
• Able to lift Minimum 40 lbs.
• Require standing and walking for 70% of shift time.
• Require setting for 30% of shift time.
Payrate: $21/hour
