The opportunity: Connectivity Point is currently seeking a full-time detail-oriented and skilled CAD Technician to join our engineering/design team. The successful candidate will utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create precise technical drawings and plans that support our projects from conception through completion. Success in this role will be demonstrated by producing an accurate visual representation of projects that meet client needs. This position can be done remotely.
The primary role of the CAD Technician is to develop detailed technical 2D and 3D drawings based on specifications provided by engineers or designers that will create solutions and designs which are used for building the low voltage infrastructure in commercial buildings. (Structured cabling, Audio Visual, Security, Sound Masking and others.)
Must-haves in a candidate:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or design is preferred.
CAD certification.
Previous experience as a CAD technician with advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software.
Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
Basic understanding of building design and low voltage infrastructure.
Ability to work as a team and individually on projects.
A keen eye for detail.
Excellent time management skills.
Strong communication skills.
BIM and Revit experience a plus but not required.
Attends and participates in various meetings within the company.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Remote work allowed. We are an EST company so in this time zone is preferred.
