Social Media Intern

Social Media Intern Position Description:

The Social Media Intern supports marketing efforts by creating and posting engaging social media content, creating social media campaigns that drive awareness and traffic, and analyzing the impact of our social media activity and actions.  The Social Media Intern plays a key role in Connectivity Source’s ability to deliver information and strategy that directly impacts the success of our stores, the satisfaction of our customers, and the loyalty of followers. This position also ensures social media messaging is in line with corporate goals.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for an aspiring marketing and communications professional to gain hands-on experience in the field of social media management.

Areas of Responsibility Include (but are not limited to):

·         Develop and create engaging content (text, images, videos) for various social media platforms.

·         Research and identify trending topics and relevant content to share.

·         Develop social media campaigns and assist in identifying impactful strategies to drive awareness and traffic.

·         Post content, respond to comments and messages, and engage with followers.

·         Monitor social media channels for mentions, trends, and opportunities.

·         Use social media analytics tools to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

·         Work collaboratively with other members of the Marketing and Communication team; work cross functionally with other departments within Connectivity Source Group of Companies when needed.

·         Perform social media marketing research. Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and best practices.

Requirements:

·         At least 2 years experience in social media marketing and communication, preferably in a similar industry

·         Mastery of the major social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and X

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

·         Proficiency in Social Media strategy and execution

·         Excellent interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver relevant results

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills
