About this role:
The ACH Specialist II is responsible for leveraging expertise in monitoring ACH though multiple channels, resolving exceptions and ensuring compliance with regulation, policy and procedures.
In this role you will:
- Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement-maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.
- Serve as a back-up for ACH exception handling returns and NOCs, ACH OFAC processing, and verification of inbound and outbound Fed files.
- Assist management and internal departments on review of records, processes, and controls.
- Respond to inquiries and issues from customers and branches, handling through resolution.
- Comply with Federal regulations and industry rules (NACHA) including but not limited to all job relevant Risk Management and Corporate standards.
- Proactively contact branches and customers as needed to provide resolution and explanation of bank-initiated account activity.
- Understand and monitor ACH systems, regulations and processes including Commercial, Small Business, and consumer ACH related processing, maintenance, or exception handling and ACH and Regulation E disputes.
- Collaborate with the Treasury Management team in the facilitation of client onboarding, limit increase requests and other ACH originator-related services.
- Design, implement and manage risk management related to originators and third-party senders.
- Consider and help plan for upstream and downstream implications of ACH product feature changes and any NACHA/regulatory rules updates.
- Analyze, track and evaluate ACH related metrics including origination, exceptions and dispute processing.
- Well-versed with general NACHA rules, with special understanding of originator risk monitoring and Third-Party Sender knowledge
- Knowledge of exposure limits and return ratios
- Knowledge of Regulation E
- Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations
- Knowledge of Payment Services policies and procedures
- Conflict resolution experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong "People First" Interest and ability
- Minimum 4 years experience
- FIS product experience.
- Familiarity with Q2 Centrix products
- Accredited ACH Professional
