Material Prep
Responsibilities
- Utilize production equipment as needed. Example: (Tumble Blaster, Hand Blast Cabinets, parts washers, and down draft tables)
- Blast, clean and apply appropriate bonding primer and bonding agent in accordance with work instructions.
- Maintain traceability of materials used for production orders and properly account for work completed within the operating system and on the production work order
- Maintain and conduct regular cleaning of departmental equipment as directed and outlined by equipment manual and HSE guidelines.
- Properly store and maintain the hazardous and flammable materials in proper storage cabinet as required by HSE Policy, Materials MSDS and State and Government requirements while maintaining a FIFO process.
- Properly safeguard processed materials from contamination in seals plastic bags, boxes, or covered totes while staged and pending molding process.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in metal preparation process
- Able to work in fast-paced environment and ability to multi-task
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
- Must be able to pass fit test on respirator (no beards)
- Work overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required
- Ability to work standing for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
