The ideal candidate will create an engaging, structured, and immersive Spanish-learning environment that fosters student success while maintaining high expectations for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement rigorous, standards-aligned Spanish language lessons that build students' proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Foster a positive, structured, and immersive classroom where students engage with the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including heritage speakers and beginners.
- Use data-driven instruction to assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Incorporate technology, real-world applications, and interactive activities to enhance language learning.
- Build strong relationships with students and families to support academic and social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to enhance curriculum and instructional practices.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a middle school Spanish classroom.
- Language: Native or near-native fluency in Spanish (spoken and written).
- Skills:
- Strong belief in the school's mission and a commitment to educational equity.
- Effective classroom management and ability to build a structured yet joyful learning environment.
- Experience using immersion techniques and interactive strategies to engage students.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Qualifications Include:
- A degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related subject.
- Teaching qualifications in your home country for primary or secondary schools.
- At least two years of full-time teaching experience or equivalent qualifications.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong character and professional reputation.

The school expects teachers to cover the cost of the first year visa. Any future visa renewal fees will be covered by the school.
