General Summary:
The Web Designer is responsible for designing, enhancing, maintaining, and assisting with the development and delivery of online content and other proprietary web applications. This role works in partnership cross-functionally to design web pages that meet specifications and established design standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides support to the Marketing team, with a high attention to detail
- Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
- May coach and review the work of other team members
- Designs, builds, and/or maintains websites using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media
- Writes, designs, and/or edits web page content
- Identifies problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and corrects problems or refers problems to the appropriate team
- Evaluates code to ensure validity, proper structure, compliance with industry standards, and compatibility with browers, devices, or operating systems
- Maintains understanding of current web technologies and programming practices through continuing education, reading or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
- Advanced knowledge of applicable work area.
- Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision
- Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirement
- Ability to work on multiple projects and/or priorities simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of network design and implementation
- Knowledge of MySQL, OOP, SOAP/RESTful API’s, GIT, and/or cURL
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience using a mixture of PHP/HTML templates and designs
- Experience with PHP5.
- Preferred: Experience using AngularJS, Laravel, and CodeIgniter
- Preferred: Experience using AJAX, CSS3, HTML5, jQuery
- Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
- 0-10% travel may be required
- May require occasional work outside of normal business hours (go-lives, deployments, etc.)
