What are the responsibilities and job description for the GM Master Heavy Line Technician position at Connell Chevrolet Nissan?
Connell Chevrolet is seeking a highly skilled GM Master Heavy Line Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing GM vehicle engines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and repair complex engine issues.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
- Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Complete all work according to applicable safety requirements.
- Document work performed on repair order, record test procedures/results & time, per company recording & clocking procedures.
Requirements:
- GM experience and/or GM manufacturer certification required.
- Master Technician/Mechanic level.
- ASE certification a plus.
- Team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
