Job Title: Marketing & Business Development Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing & Business Development Specialist to drive our firm's marketing initiatives and strategic business development goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with lawyers and Director of Marketing to develop and execute meaningful strategic business development and marketing initiatives for attorneys, practice areas, and regions.
- Build the firm's and individual partners' visibility through events, sponsorships, and campaigns; identify opportunities for attorneys to participate in speaking engagements and assist with deliverables.
- Provide support for new business endeavors, including preparing standard and custom pitch materials, responses to RFPs, and business development presentations.
- Conduct online and database research and prepare intelligence reports on clients, qualified prospects, competitors, and industries of interest.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to manage all firm marketing content, including creation, development, review, and distribution, for the website and social media accounts, print and digital collateral, and internal firm newsletter.
- Identify and track rankings/awards/survey submissions, and assist in the compilation of annual submissions to outlets such as Chambers, AmLaw, NJBIZ, and others.
- Manage and grow the firm's presence on social media through regular updates, effective campaigns, best practices, and lawyer engagement.
- Monitor legal industry communications trends and adopt best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4-5 years' marketing and/or business development experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Ability to thrive in an electronic environment and utilize technology to deliver information; proficiency in methods of information acquisition, including the use of online information databases, tools, and resources.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills; writing samples are required.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage various tasks with high attention to detail.
- Client service-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills, capable of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with personnel at various levels.
- Ability to take initiative, adapt to change, and work independently in high-pressure, deadline-driven situations while exercising sound judgment and making intelligent, informed decisions.
