Responsibilities include:
- Teaching middle school Humanities & Social Studies courses that engage students in critical thinking and discussion
- Creating a classroom atmosphere that nurtures the intellectual, social, and emotional development of students
- Integrating technology and innovative teaching methodologies into lesson plans to enhance student learning
- Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative educational environment
- Designing, implementing, and assessing curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students
- Encouraging student engagement in service learning projects and other extracurricular activities that foster community and personal growth
- Maintaining accurate records and following school policies and practices for assessment and evaluation
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in middle and high school settings
- Strong knowledge of historical, cultural, and social studies content aligned with curriculum standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds
