Humanities & Social Studies Teacher

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching middle school Humanities & Social Studies courses that engage students in critical thinking and discussion
• Creating a classroom atmosphere that nurtures the intellectual, social, and emotional development of students
• Integrating technology and innovative teaching methodologies into lesson plans to enhance student learning
• Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative educational environment
• Designing, implementing, and assessing curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students
• Encouraging student engagement in service learning projects and other extracurricular activities that foster community and personal growth
• Maintaining accurate records and following school policies and practices for assessment and evaluation
  
  
  

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Relevant teaching experience, preferably in middle and high school settings
• Strong knowledge of historical, cultural, and social studies content aligned with curriculum standards
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds
• A commitment to the mission and values of the Connelly School of the Holy Child, including promoting inclusivity and diversity
• Passion for education and teaching, coupled with an enthusiasm for inspiring a love of learning in students
• Experience in employing a variety of instructional techniques and strategies
