Varsity & JV Coach for 2024-2025 School Year (Multiple Positions)

Working with the support of the Director of Athletics, the Coach is responsible for assisting in developing all players in the program on and off the court through a championship caliber environment, an open door for competition and development of skills, character, and leadership at all levels.

• Assistant MS Field Hockey (September 4- October 31, 2024)
• Assistant Varsity Basketball (November 5- February 27, 2025)
• Assistant Varsity Ice Hockey (November 5- February 27, 2025)
• Assistant JV Ice Hockey (November 4- February 20, 2025)
• Head JV Lacrosse (February 28, 2025- May 10, 2025)
• Assistant Varsity Lacrosse (February 28, 2025- May 10, 2025)
• Head Varsity Softball (February 28, 2025- May 10, 2025)
  
  

Practices are scheduled Monday-Friday between the hours of 3:30pm-7:00pm with additional practices or Saturday availability. This is a stipend paid position that reports to the Director of Athletics.

Requirements

The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to the position. This is not a comprehensive listing of all the responsibilities or tasks; other duties may be assigned when deemed appropriate:

In coordination with the head coach:

• Communicate with other coaches outside the ISL to schedule in-season games
• Coordinate and supervise a regular schedule of practice
• Encourage sportsmanship, team unity, and enforce all sportsmanship guidelines
• Enforce discipline of contest, school, league and state rules and regulations
• Supervise assistant coaches and enhance their professional development
• Support school organized efforts for a sustainable fundraising plan and communicate with players, coaches, and community
• Develop and maintain a relationship with the Athletic Director and Administration to facilitate court/facility use and monitor student athlete academic development
• Assist in managing Holy Child's Sports program for all levels
• Provide and display a willingness to work with the Athletics Department, administration, staff, student- athletes, and parents
• Support players in the college selection and recruiting process
• Develop and organize out of season training, tournaments, and player development
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

Below are the qualifications for this position:

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, coaches, and community. Experience coaching/participating in basketball at the high school or collegiate level. Knowledge of applicable league rules
