Quality Technician
Salary: $45,000/yr Work Hours: Mon thru Thurs 6am - 4:30pm

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement, maintain, and enforce the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Assist the Quality Manager with day-to-day tasks based upon existing QMS
- Assist in writing/updating procedures, work instructions, and other controlled documentation
- Support Manufacturing by resolving Quality issues
- Perform internal audits and attend external audits as needed
- Assist in handling customer returns, completing root cause analyses, and driving pragmatic corrective and preventive actions
- Train employees at various levels of the organization on relevant QMS topics
- Aide in creating Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, and Control Plans
- Responsible for customer PPAPs
- Understand the importance of “do what you say”
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree in Engineering desired, although a combination of education and directly related work experience will also be considered
- 1-3 years of Quality and/or Manufacturing Engineering
- Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office required
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical thinking
- Experience with Flowcharting software
- Working knowledge of ISO9000:2015 a plus
- Lean/6σ experience a bonus
- Ability to self-direct, multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Forklift certification is required, therefore prior forklift experience is a plus
- Must be able to read a tape measure
