Job Summary
This expert will collaborate with producers on the team to ensure success in the new business process. They will have the opportunity to make an impact on business growth by leveraging their relationships and expertise in the marketplace.
Principal Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in marketing new business opportunities, collaborating across teams to tailor customized solutions and programs for potential clients.
- Create compelling presentations to showcase CSB value proposition
- Collaborate with producers to develop the appropriate program design for our clients, (e.g. Guaranteed Cost, Loss Sensitive, Captive, etc.).
- Review and analyze insurance policies to identify coverage deficiencies in relation to the exposures present in a Prospect’s business.
- Analyze loss information for marketing purposes and program design.
- Review and analyze insurance indemnification sections of business contracts.
- Negotiates Premium, Terms and Conditions with Insurance Carriers.
- Manage the creation of customized Conner Strong & Buckelew Consultative Reviews.
- Prepare customized Coverage Summaries for new prospective clients.
- Finalize New Business Proposals.
- Bind coverage on behalf of new clients.
- After business is bound, ensure a smooth transition of the account to the servicing team.
- Assist the Business Development personnel in gathering and compiling the necessary information required for a comprehensive review / underwriting submission.
Other Functions
- Attend new business and prospect presentations when required.
- Attend carrier capabilities meetings and other functions.
- Remain current on industry changes, technical and industry specific developments such as market conditions and carrier appetites that could affect customer service.
- Maintain Prospect files in accordance with company standards.
- Participates in Marketing Strategy meetings with Producers and team members.
- Attends various internal and external meetings as required.
- Participate on various committees / projects assigned.
- Available as a technical resource for other Conner Strong & Buckelew team members.
Requirements
- 5 years minimum of Commercial Property & Casualty Brokerage experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Self-starter, flexible and able to multi-task with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- Knowledge of Document Management System (WorkSmart) preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment but function independently.
- Ability to develop and manage key relationships at all levels within Conner Strong organization along with outside Clients and Carriers.
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without Company sponsorship.
Specialized Knowledge or Licenses
Property & Casualty Producer License
ARM, CIC, CPCU and other specialized designations as appropriate.
Working Conditions
Able to work flexible hours and travel to other Conner Strong & Buckelew buildings and client work sites on a regular basis
