Connestee Falls is a mature master planned residential community and a semi-private country club in Brevard, NC operated by its residents under the Connestee Falls Property Owners Association (CFPOA). Our residents share a vision for preserving the amazing natural environment while nurturing great relationships. The community features a championship golf course, a state-of-the-art wellness center, pools, a tennis center, pickleball center, bocce ball courts, and a newly renovated 26,000 sq ft Overlook Clubhouse with restaurants, lounge with full bar, banquet facilities and meeting spaces available for functions.
The community is almost 4,000 acres with 4 large mountain lakes, a variety of parks, over 14 miles of hiking trails, many waterfalls, over 50 miles of private roads, and is less than 7 miles from downtown Brevard, NC. Click here to watch a short video.
General Statement of Duties:
This position requires an individual who is neat in appearance and is personable, warm, and cheerful, with great memory for faces and names. It requires an individual who is extremely hands-on, organized, clean, dedicated and energetic, and able to maintain the highest service standards, while ensuring satisfaction of members and guests.
Essential Duties:
A Concierge, or Guest Services Representative, is a hospitality professional who attends to the needs of guests and helps them organize their accommodations. Provides exceptional service to members and guests in all areas of the club and represents the company with integrity and dedication.
- Manages reservations and any communications required to members and guests related to food & beverage and events with excellent customer service and attention to detail and accuracy.
- Provide on-going telephone coverage.
- Maintain a positive attitude and courteous respect for self and others throughout the shift.
- Maintain high ethical standards and professionalism
Ensures that all members, guests, and co-workers are treated in a friendly, respectful, and fair manner. Must present self and maintain personal cleanliness and clothing that is not wrinkled or disorderly fitting for a professional country club and according to dress code of Connestee Falls POA.
- Multitask and prioritize as necessary to meet customer needs and try to anticipate needs and act accordingly
- Maintains working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, NorthStar, Eventpro).
- Communicates with Events & Communications Coordinator of any workplace accidents or critical situations that require immediate attention in a timely professional manner.
- Good listening skills and the ability to respond enthusiastically in a timely manner. If on the phone, acknowledge guest presence. Don't ignore!
- Handle complaints courteously, receptively and promptly with tactful speech and inform department head of all complaints no matter how minor. If a complaint requiring housekeeping, direct to Clubhouse Operations Manager.
- Prepare correspondence, memo, emails and other documents. Process and distribute guest Knowledge of company restaurant/eating options and local amenities (only for members or their guests) including fitness, club groups, golf, tennis, pickleball, etc. Good knowledge of attractions, exhibits, services and shopping in this area very helpful.
- Completes all other relevant job duties as assigned by Events & Communications Coordinator, Clubhouse Operations Manager or Food & Beverage Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years customer service preferred
- Must be able to handle difficult situations with members in a tactful but fair, firm and consistent manner.
- Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction within the company, staff, community members and outside vendors.
- Must have strong presentation skills.
- Must be friendly and possess a service-oriented attitude when working with the company, staff, community members and outside vendors.
- Must be well-organized, detail-oriented and a self-directed individual with the ability to use independent thinking skills, multi-task, prioritize and meet time sensitive deadlines.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment and treat them with dignity and respect.
- Must be dependable and reliable.
- Must be PC literate, including MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Club management software (f/e Northstar).
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to perform physical labor requiring continual and repetitive use of large motor skills to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, and continual and repetitive use of fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
- Must be able to hear, see. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish colors and different shades of color.
- Must be able to comply with safety and health requirements.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule:
Weekly shift averages 29 hours a week. Off season hours may be substantially less. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (Weekends, Holidays, AM, PM, Split Shifts, and must be able to work shift alone).
