About the Role
As the General Ledger Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the General Ledger function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and company policies. Reporting directly to the Controller and working closely with the CFO, you’ll play a critical role in financial reporting and analysis, contributing to the company’s strategic decision-making processes. This role offers a hybrid work environment, providing flexibility while fostering collaboration with the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP.
- Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Lead audits by preparing necessary documentation and serving as the main point of contact for external auditors.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues within the accounting process.
- Supervise and mentor a small team, fostering professional development and performance excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
- 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on General Ledger management (5 years preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems and strong proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
