The Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for managing advertising programs for ConnexFM members on ConnexFM communication platforms, creating and owning content strategies to promote ConnexFM, resources, and membership, and providing broad marketing support. This role requires proactive ownership of marketing functions and initiatives and plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing ConnexFM’s marketing efforts through platforms like WordPress and HubSpot. This role will collaborate across departments and with the association membership to strengthen ConnexFM’s position as an industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Advertising Management:
- Manage member advertising programs on the ConnexFM website, including tracking ad submissions, uploading assets to the ad server, monitoring ad placement accuracy, and delivering performance reports to advertisers.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and improvement in advertising performance.
Content Creation:
- Help develop content strategies and execute initiatives that promote ConnexFM’s resources, events, and membership value.
- Proactively source and work with subject matter experts to produce engaging content, such as articles, videos, and social media assets.
- Plan and manage the weekly ConnexFM video blog with the CEO (The Daily Grind), including scheduling guests, coordinating assets, and ensuring smooth production.
- Collaborate on the creation of newsletters, campaigns, and promotional materials.
Marketing Support & Operations:
- Take ownership of identified marketing activities using tools like WordPress, HubSpot, and Canva.
- Analyze marketing data to optimize strategies, implement automation, and improve engagement.
- Play a key role in marketing efforts surrounding ConnexFM events, including pre-event promotion, on-site content creation, and post-event follow-ups.
Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Support:
- Build and maintain relationships with ConnexFM members to support the creation of relevant and impactful content.
- Partner with other departments to deliver cohesive marketing strategies that align with organizational goals.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of marketing experience, preferably in an association or non-profit environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing advertising and/or content creation strategies.
- Proficiency with WordPress, HubSpot, and tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines independently.
- Analytical mindset with experience using marketing data to guide decision-making.

Supervision Received:
This role reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary with benefits ($50,000 - $60,000)
