Job Title: Analytical Chemist
We are seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to support our team with routine purification using preparative reverse-phase HPLC, working with scales ranging from approximately 10mg to 1g. This role will involve hands-on support for maintaining and troubleshooting two preparative HPLC systems and two analytical UPLC-MS systems, utilizing low-resolution quadrupole detectors.
In addition to the core responsibilities, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to various other areas, including normal-phase purification, NMR analysis, and automated high-throughput chemistry. These activities may involve methods development and the analysis of synthetic outcomes, although they are not mandatory requirements for the role and may be of particular interest to candidates looking to expand their expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support routine purification via preparative reverse-phase HPLC.
- Maintain and troubleshoot two preparative HPLC systems and two analytical UPLC-MS systems.
- Opportunity to assist with normal-phase purification, NMR analysis, and automated high-throughput chemistry (methods development and synthetic analysis).
Qualifications:
- Experience with preparative HPLC purification.
- Familiarity with Waters equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills for HPLC and UPLC-MS systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience or interest in normal-phase purification, NMR, and automated high-throughput chemistry is a plus but not required.
