What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machinists (2nd & 3rd Shift) position at Connexion Systems & Engineering, Inc.?
We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our team for 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) and 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) at our Bloomfield, CT facility.
This role offers competitive pay with a 10% shift differential for 2nd shift and a 15% shift differential for 3rd shift. Pay rate: Starting at $25/ hour (Pay rate can go up to $30/ hour before dif. - dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC Mills or CNC Lathes
Adjust machine settings (e.g., speeds and feeds) to optimize performance
Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
Requirements:
5 years of CNC milling or lathe experience Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Strong understanding of machining processes and blueprints
Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the aerospace industry Familiarity with live tooling machines Basic programming experience with CAD/CAM systems
