Part-Time Grounds Technician
Primary Purpose: The Part-Time Grounds Technician is primarily responsible for assisting with maintaining the excellent appearance of the grounds on the Greenwood Campus.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains the campus grounds and makes any necessary corrections to keep it neat, attractive and presentable
- Assists with lawn care duties including, but not limited to grass cutting, trimming shrubs, pruning trees, clearing the cemetery, and managing the area round the pond
- Ensures lawn care equipment is in good work condition and communicates to maintenance on needed repairs
- Helps with emergencies and additional activities across campus
- Ensure the completion of task that students do not have time to finish
- Support Connie Maxwell goals
- Works toward achieving yearly "Gold Star" list
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Basic knowledge in basic mechanics, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and grounds keeping
- Skills in the safe use of tools and equipment to carry out duties
- Valid driver's license and insurability is required
- Strong communication skills

Work Conditions:
- Involves walking and standing for extended periods of time
- Involves strenuous physical labor for long hours, in extreme heat and cold temperatures
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
- Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds on a continual basis
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends based on ministry needs
- Ability to work under stress during peak workload periods
