Who we are looking for:


Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, is seeking an experienced Grants Manager to lead our corporate relations grants program. This critical role will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight, maximizing funding opportunities and fueling our mission to conquer cancer worldwide!

This position is hybrid with a primary location in Alexandria, VA.


Responsibilities

  • Mentors and manages staff and tasks grant assignments and activities to each member of team
  • Builds the annual proposal pipeline solicitation plan in collaboration with the corporate relations and grants management teams
  • Responsible for tracking and updating grants forecasting data to track revenue progress on a calendar fiscal year and against budgeted goals on a routine basis
  • Distributes updates on revenue progress against goals and pipeline status to Conquer Cancer leadership and program leads on a routine basis
  • Collaborates with Senior Director, Corporate Relations to develop fiscal year budget targets based on prior year performance and trends
  • Serves as lead administrator for grants management calendar plans accordingly for quarterly grants cycles
  • Updates Conquer Cancer’s fundraising database with all grant target dates including fundraising targets
  • Distributes grant assignment responsibilities with foresight and a portfolio strategy among the grants management team
  • Oversees process to ensure all opportunities are reflected in Conquer Cancer’s database and maintains data integrity on an ongoing basis, reflecting accurate probabilities and opportunity status in real time Manages and updates all grants portal passwords and online accounts for team
  • Partners closely with Conquer Cancer’s Business Operations and Compliance team in executing all required grant elements within existing operating procedures and to meet deadlines
  • Reviews industry and internal resources to identify new corporate prospects with the Corporate Relations team to grow corporate revenue for Conquer Cancer’s strategic priorities, revisiting planned proposal submissions on a monthly basis
  • Additional duties as assigned


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience
  • 6 years of progressively responsible experience with non-profit grants management
  • Strong financial and accounting acumen
  • 2 – 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience analyzing notices of awards detailing compliance requirements for grants, awards, and contracts and overseeing grant/award applications
  • Proficiency with databases and project management tools

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally with diverse continuants


Work Environment

Hybrid work location. Fast-paced office environment.


ADA/Physical Requirements

Must lift up to 10 lbs

Extended periods seated or standing at a desk.

High use of computer and other office technology equipment.


Travel

1-5 days/yr
