Job Description:
As a Construction Estimator at Conquering Clutter, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and materials required for custom cabinet and woodworking projects. You will collaborate closely with our design and production teams to ensure that our projects are both cost-effective and meet our high-quality standards. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who is passionate about woodworking and eager to be a part of a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials and labor.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate project specifications.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Analyze and compare cost data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and submit accurate and competitive bids.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing and market trends.
- Assist in project cost tracking and budget management.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure the successful execution of awarded projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the woodworking or cabinet manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking materials, processes, and techniques.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
