Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced nurse consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, with expertise in patient care and medical documentation. As a Regional Clinical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing expert guidance on patient care practices, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting the overall quality of care delivered to patients. This position is mobile, based out of east TX, and requires travel between our three SNFs in Tyler and Lindale.
Duties
- Evaluate patient care procedures and practices to ensure adherence to established standards and regulations.
- Provide expert consultation on medical records management and documentation practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans that meet individual needs.
- Conduct training sessions for nursing staff on best practices in patient care, HIPAA compliance, and medical terminology.
- Review and analyze medical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in nursing practices, physiology, anatomy, and healthcare regulations.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to patient care and medical documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with experience as a registered nurse (RN).
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations.
- Proven experience in patient care and familiarity with medical records management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for reviewing medical documentation.
- Ability to provide training and support to nursing staff effectively.
