Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand the Transportation Engineering practice, focusing on bridge, highway, rail, and traffic engineering.
- Manage civil/structural engineering, planning, and design tasks for capital improvement projects.
- Supervise assessments, load ratings, design plans, and specifications for infrastructure including bridges, culverts, transit stations, and waterfront structures.
- Oversee project execution from small rehabilitations to large-scale new construction.
- Mentor and develop engineering and CAD/BIM staff.
- Develop technical and cost proposals for new business opportunities.
- Foster relationships with transportation agencies, authorities, and city/state clients.
- Oversee staffing needs, project financial performance, and coordination.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 15 years of experience in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- NY PE license required.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and project management capabilities.
- Experience with structural analysis software and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
