Job Summary
The Pool Host is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests at the pool area, ensuring their safety, comfort, and satisfaction. This role includes assisting with poolside activities, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and addressing guest needs in a friendly and professional manner.
Job Duties:
Guest Assistance:
- Greet guests as they arrive at the pool area and provide information about available services, amenities, and safety rules.
- Ensure guests are comfortable by providing towels, seating arrangements, and assisting with any additional needs.
- Maintain a friendly, approachable, and helpful demeanor at all times.
Safety and Cleanliness:
- Monitor pool area for cleanliness, including poolside, lounge chairs, and surrounding areas.
- Enforce pool safety rules and regulations to ensure guest safety.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate team members.
Event Support:
- Assist in coordinating poolside events, such as games or activities.
- Help set up, organize, and break down poolside events or activities as directed.
Guest Relations:
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and concerns.
- Address guest complaints in a positive and solution-oriented manner.
- Ensure all guest requests are handled in a timely manner to enhance the guest experience.
Inventory and Supplies:
- Maintain a supply of towels, sunscreen, and other poolside necessities.
- Assist with the inventory of pool-related supplies and notify supervisors when stock is running low.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other pool staff, including lifeguards, waitstaff, and housekeeping, to ensure smooth operations and a seamless guest experience.
- Follow all resort or facility procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of pool safety and cleanliness is a plus.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and friendly attitude is essential.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift and carry light to moderate objects (such as towels or poolside supplies).
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
