POSITION TITLE:
P/T Tutor
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide intervention to students in need of additional instructional support. Work with students one-on-one and/or small group settings.
Math or English
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the preparation of materials.
- Maintain awareness of goals and objectives of supervising teacher.
- Assist in implementing the planned intervention program.
- Assist in reinforcing and accelerating learning with student(s) as directed by supervising teacher.
- Provide information to teacher(s) concerning student(s) progress.
Demonstrate content knowledge well above the level necessary to support and encourage student(s) learning.
Regular attendance.
- Exhibit positive behavior toward students, parents, staff and administrators.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with students in a school setting
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to develop rapport with students
- Knowledge of subject matter
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
